OK, I’ve tried the freeze dried pork crumbles in a few different recipes. I love them best rehydrated in a frying pan/ plating them next to my fried eggs. They are delicious. I’ve rehydrated/mixed them with various dried/fresh onions, celery, green chilies, bell peppers, and then scrambled eggs into them. I do like them in my Dutch pea soup, (called Snert). They are the best sitting next to my eggs in the morning or evening.
I like that I can easily portion control the crumbles with my 1/2 cup measure. They quickly rehydrate, (I use a little less water than specified), and freeze drying definitely retains the original flavor/taste. I will buy some more and other freeze dried foods, they are well worth it. Kathy D
